You captured nice light on flower by colors, light and shadow works well for building three dimension effect and came out lively, dark background makes also strong contrast which help to creates strong lighting, it has strength and sensitivity together and shows good life of flower, good.

You become much better for using colors and warm color and cool color next each other makes good contrast and fit each other, lighting is very important to show depth and form, also tone of color.
White color is effective to bring other color so clear, good painting also feel heat in painting.

She try two same composition painting of landscape, it is different POV ( point of view ) also creates distance by little bit down the horizon line of ocean, because changing POV and depth, I like touch of sky which is very emotional and spontaneous touch of brush, you just trust your eye for touch you make so as color, also important shore line creates depth of scene and big rock in front gives a distance.

Second painting also repeating the first one so you don't think too much just do it, so came out more spontaneous touch and enough description of scene too, this one has more light and distance.
